The string universality conjecture states that any UV complete quantum gravity theory can be embedded in a string theory setup. If this is true, then we can classify all the quantum gravity theories by classifying string theory vacuum solutions. In this talk, the speaker will focus on the ensemble of 4D F-theory geometric solutions, which contains some of the largest finite numbers in any string theory literature, such as 10^{224,000} flux vacua on a single geometry. He will describe some interesting universal features on the dominating majority of geometric solutions, and discuss their implications for model building.

The seminar is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
