Boundary Conformal Field Theory (BCFT) has important applications in a wide range of physical system, including superstring theory and condensed matter
physics. In this talk, the speaker will explain some recently obtained exact and universal results in boundary conformal field theory. These results are valid whenever the system admits an effective field theory description. He will also discuss a newly developed approach on boundary holography and show that these universal results can also
be obtained via holography.
The seminar is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
