In this talk, the speaker will discuss a holographic model of a 1+1 d plasma. This system displays many subtleties not seen in higher dimensions and thus serves as a good test of our understanding of AdS/CFT. In particular, he will discuss a possible UV/IR non-decoupling that appears in this system. In addition, he will provide a new stability criterion that may be used to classify the phase structure and show how this may modify previous results in the literature.
The seminar is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
