Abstract:

Gravitational Higgs mechanism provides a non-perturbative definition of massive gravity. While perturbatively unitarity is not evident, a non-perturbative Hamiltonian appears to suggest that no negative norm state is present in the full nonlinear theory. Instead, there are additional non-perturbative time-dependent vacuum solutions, both when the basic massive gravity background is Minkowski and de Sitter.

The seminar is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis.
