Overview

On-surface self-assembly and synthesis of supramolecular and macromolecular systems provide unique routes for designing and fabricating low-dimensional organic-based materials. This program will offer a platform for researchers from different disciplines to present and discuss the latest developments in this active field; in particular, it focuses on understanding the assembly and reaction mechanisms and fundamental properties revealed by the advanced scanning probe and surface spectroscopy techniques.

This program aims to:

-bring together experts from different parts of the world;
-create a stimulating environment to foster interdisciplinary discussion and research collaborations;
-strengthen the strategic partnership between HKUST and Technical University of Munich (TUM).
