Overview

The program will focus on recent developments in the fields of Casimir and van der Waals interactions and the prospects of novel applications of these forces. Topics of interests include


Casimir forces and van der Waals forces
Casimir-Polder forces
Critical Casimir forces
Quantum friction
Novel material systems and geometry


This program is hosted in the IAS Building at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where theorists and experimentalists can meet in an informal and attractive environment to foster discussion and collaborations.
